An Overview of Toyota Highlander Engine

Fifteen years from now, Toyota had introduced the Highlander model in the market that amazed most of the American Families. After ruling the market for such a long time, the Toyota Highlander 2014 version is now on sale. It has already become one of the most popular Midsize SUV of its class.  This is the latest edition of the vehicle that have been modified and re-designed to look and perform the best.

However, the company is continuing with the same design of the vehicle, but the latest edition of it has become a bit longer and half an inch wider. The ground clearance still remains unchanged, but the 2014 edition has a shallow approach angle. Hence, you must check out the front end of the car if you have planned to try off-roading. The “high-mounted wraparound” headlights take the look of the car to another level. Only some limited models of this vehicle have been equipped with the LED lights.

If you feel that the exterior look of the car is quite similar to the other midsize SUV’s then its interiors is surely going to make your jaw drop. This third generation highlander SUV has gone through a dramatic upgrade, both in design and materials. Moreover, the company is claiming that the cabin of new Highlander will give a tough competition to cars of its segment.

 The new highlander is offering “upper-door panel material”, rear and front air conditioning, premium headliner, “soft-touch dashboard and many more. The cabin also consists of a storage spot that is big enough to hide a purse of huge size. As a whole, Toyota has made several changes in this edition to make it one of the best.

Engine Specifications:


Highlander’s power trains are more or less the same like last years, besides the two major differences. First, is the optional 3.5 liter V6 engine that has been paired with the “6-speed” automatic transmission. It was previously paired with 5-speed auto transmission. Because of this, the fuel economy has got improved from twenty to twenty-one miles per gallon for this edition. Now coming to the second change, the new “Dynamic Torque Control” system, which is available only with the V6 engine. This sends all the power of the engine to the front wheels during normal conditions.

The Toyota Highlander Engine is one of the best amongst all its competitors. It performs the best and generates huge horsepower.
